Advanced Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery Fellowship

Mr Baskaran Ranganathan has been appointed to this position until October 2017. Baskaran is a post-qualification ENT specialist from the UK. He has a very strong academic background, and is a keen trainer in his own right. He has expressed an interest in developing a sub-specialist interest in advanced rhinology/reconstructive and endoscopic skull base surgery.

Next Fellow:

I am delighted to announce that Dr Rebecca Dawson is my next Advanced Rhinology Fellow. She was a Yorkshire trainee, is post-CCT, and has an interest in skull base malignancy. She is a fantastic addition to our team and I look forward to training her.

The October 2018 to September 2019 fellowship position will be advertised on NHS Jobs in due course. More details will follow shortly. I am already receiving great interest in our fellowship post from the UK and further afield up to and including 2020. I strongly encourage you to strengthen your curriculum vitae in the relevant areas, academic and clinical experience, and to plan well in advance if you are considering applying for our fellowship.

The post will commence from October 2017 for a period of 12 months. The post is salaried with a nominal on-call commitment, and includes a budget for study leave. The successful candidate is expected to help in the organisation of the Manchester Cadaveric Dissection Courses ( and, and to positively contribute to the development of the Manchester Nose and Sinus Centre and its ethos.
