Immediate-Past President of the British Rhinological Society

Raj is the Immediate-Past President of the British Rhinological Society. Raj says, "It was an honour and a privilege to represent my national society and to have been voted President, and to have been given this accolade by my colleagues from around the United Kingdom. I am absolutely delighted."

 

Advanced Rhinology & Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery Fellowship, Manchester, UK

Mr Amr Abdel Hamid has been appointed to this position until November 2024. Amr is a post-qualification ENT specialist from Cairo, Egypt. He has a very strong educational background, and is a keen trainer in his own right. He has expressed an interest in developing a sub-specialist interest in advanced rhinology and reconstructive nasal plastic surgery.

I strongly encourage you to strengthen your curriculum vitae in the relevant areas, academic and clinical experience, and to plan well in advance if you are considering applying for our fellowship.

Applications for the December 2023 - November 2024 position are now closed. The fellowship was advertised on the NHS Jobs website (www.jobs.nhs.uk). The closing date for applications was May 2023. The post commenced on 1st December 2023 for a period of 12 months. The post is salaried with a nominal on-call commitment, and includes a budget for study leave. The successful candidate will be expected to help in the organisation of the Manchester Cadaveric Dissection Courses (www.nose-manchester.co.uk and www.sinus.uk.com), and to positively contribute to the development of the Manchester Nose & Sinus Centre and its ethos.
